Diamond Valley Lake

About the lake.

Diamond Valley Lake is a large reservoir located near Hemet, CA. This is an excellent trout and largemouth bass fishery. Trout anglers have luck trolling deep with downriggers and leadcore line to get down to the fish which can be holding over 100 feet down. Shore anglers do best for trout near the marina where the fish are stocked during the cooler months. Best way to fish this lake is definately from a boat due to the limited shoreline access. Only the first 3 coves to the right of the launch ramp can be fished from shore (about 1 1/2 miles of shoreline). Lake also has some nice sized bluegill, striped bass, catfish, and carp. If you are bringing your own boat make sure to check the regulations before heading out.
