Santa Ana River Lakes

Current hatchery state record Rainbow Trout

About the lake.

These are very good Catfish and Trout lakes. Trout are stocked in the winter and Catfish in the summer. There are also Carp, Bass, and Bluegill. This lake has tons of shoreline available but you want to arrive early to secure one of the better spots. These spots are the boat docks, Levitz corner, pumphouse, the nets, three pipes, La Mirada Point, and the bubble hole. The fish can go all over though so any spot can produce at times. Cast out about 10-20 feet for the bigger fish and further out for the smaller fish. All the usual trout baits work here, powerbait, nightcrawlers, trout worms, jigs, etc. State record hatchery trout was caught here at 27 1/2 lbs.
